You will take parts 1 and 2 of the district benchmark assessment for World Literature on both days. If you are absent (and excused!) for one of the days, please see me to arrange a make-up time. This test is worth 10% of your 6th six-week grades, so you NEED to be there!

Next, the class played a game of Jeopardy! on The Iliad. In order to make up this activity, you will create your own game of Jeopardy! and submit it to me. You must have at least 10 questions in 4-5 categories with answers. Be creative, but if you have questions, please see me or email me.

The proposal is due at the beginning of class on Wednesday, May 20, 2015. The final project is due at the beginning of class on Monday, June 1, 2015.

Class 3/18/15
The students had to take the 3rd session of the PARCC test, but we also started a new text today! Over the next four weeks, we will read Macbeth by William Shakespeare. During class, we will review the play through dramatic interpretation focusing primarily on the plot and literary devices used in the text. Your final assessment for this project will include a creative project. I will keep you posted!
The attachment below is the reading guide for Macbeth. The Act I page is due on Friday, March 20, 2015. Here is what I recommend for reading:
1. Read the act straight through. Don't focus on understanding it all perfectly.
2. Go to http://nfs.sparknotes.com/macbeth/ to see the translations. This will help you to figure out the plot for the short summary.
3. You will have to closely read the act again in order to find the literary devices and quote.
Email me at [email protected] if you have questions.
